The Media Lab at the Met is a small team within the Digital Media Department dedicated to exploring the intersection of art, technology, and the museum experience. Each semester, we work with a group of talented, self-motivated students across creative technology, computer science, and museum studies, who each pursue self-directed projects in deep dialogue with the collection, Met staff, and our partners in the technology industry.
Media Lab projects may address practical issues related to the use of technology by our staff or visitors, or they may be purely personal responses to our collection through the lens of creative technology.
Follow #metmedialab to stay informed about this and other Media Lab activities, and be sure to read Digital Underground blog posts related to the Media Lab and the work of our former interns.
